Nowadays, you don’t need to be present on campus to get an education. Most schools offer online classes and even full online degrees, with the added benefit of studying at your own pace and schedule. There are many options out there, but if you have a computer and internet access, you are ready to start!
If you’re wondering where to start, just follow the steps below:
1. Choose a course or degree
If you are already enrolled in a school, search for online courses in your school’s catalog or website. Most schools have a separate department in charge of the online courses, with names such as the Virtual School, Digital Campus, Online Learning, Online Campus, etc. Be sure to search for courses offered by that department.
If you are not enrolled in a school, but have a course or degree in mind that you would like to enroll in, you can start by doing a general search to narrow down your choices to several schools. You can then visit each individual school’s website to learn about the programs of study, cost, admission requirements, deadlines, etc.
2. Enroll in a school if you’re not already enrolled
If you are enrolling in a school for the first time, or applying to a specific online degree, you will need to go through the admissions process first. Review the admission requirements and deadlines to apply to the school and program of your interest.
3. Register for your courses
Once you have chosen your desired courses, you need to register for them.
