An online degree means your entire college career is online. You can receive the same education as if you were on-campus, yet with the flexibility of studying from home. This means you can work or take care of your family without having to move to another city or state for college and you can study at your own pace and at times that are convenient for you.
Many schools offer certificates, Bachelor’s, Master’s and even Doctorate degrees that are fully online, although they might not offer all majors and career paths offered on campus. Nowadays, most schools offer some kind of online degree. There are also universities that are fully online or the majority of their students are enrolled in online programs such as American Public University, University of Phoenix, Walden University and Kaplan University . Most of these schools also have physical campuses for face to face courses and support.
After finishing your online degree, you will receive the same diploma as someone who studied on campus. Your diploma will not mention anything about being earned online and you can even attend commencement on campus!
